Pismo Alice

Skupina volontera udruge „Kolajna ljubavi“ putuje u Tanzaniju u posjet djeci kojoj smo kumovi. Odlučili smo putem njih poslati pismo našoj dragoj Alice. Uz pismo smo joj priložili i deset eura (koliko nam je bilo dopušteno), vjerujući da će si njima priuštiti nešto što joj je posebno drago.

Pismo možete pročitati u nastavku.

Dear Alice,

We are a group of students from B. Toni Elementary School. We are 11 and 12 years old and attend the 5th and 6th grades. School is sometimes tiring, but sometimes fun. Our favorite part is the big recess.

In addition to the mandatory subjects, we can also attend various extracurricular activities: languages (German, Italian, and French), art, charity group, drama, journalism, photography, ceramics, astronomy, history, and more. We can also join the choir, dance group, first aid, and robotics. We take part in various competitions. All of that is nice, but we also have some rules we’re not too fond of. We don’t like that we have to sit where the teachers assign us, wear slippers, and take too many tests at the end of the school year.

The school year will be over soon – on June 13th to be exact. Then we’ll have summer holidays until September.
Our school is big – we have about 1,300 students. Luckily, we also have a large school yard.

Our town is Samobor. It’s an old medieval town about 30 kilometers from Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. It’s nicer to live in a smaller town – it’s more peaceful, safer, everything is close, and there’s lots of greenery.

Our country is Croatia. It’s beautiful. We have several national parks and nature parks. Our coastline is along the Adriatic Sea, and we are a country with 1,000 beautiful islands.

We’re really curious to learn more about you. What does your school day look like? What do you do in your free time? Do you have a favorite color? What’s your favorite subject in school? How many students are in your class? What are your friends’ names?

Write to us about that and anything else you’d like to share.
Hoping to hear back from you soon, we send you lots and lots and lots of love and greetings:

Iva, Marta, Renata, Melani, Lucija, Patrik, Franka, Ema, Katarina, Hana, and Roberta 😊 Samobor, May 14th, 2025

And our teachers: Tanja and Perina 😊
